In recent years, Antioch has taken several measures to improve public safety. The city has increased the number of police officers on the streets, installed surveillance cameras in high-crime areas, and implemented community policing programs to foster better relationships between the police and residents. These measures have helped to reduce crime rates in the city, but there are still areas that are considered dangerous and should be avoided, especially at night.

Some of the more dangerous areas of Antioch include parts of the downtown area, particularly around the Antioch Marina, and the Sycamore Drive corridor. These areas have higher rates of crime, particularly property crime, and can be unsafe after dark.
